We provide Aviation security for LATAM flights and other commercial operators into Mount Pleasant Airport.

All our staff are fully trained to ICAO standards when dealing with the searching of persons, baggage or vehicles in specific areas.

Our objectives are to safeguard passengers, crew, ground personnel and the general public against acts of unlawful interference within the confines of an airport.

We also seek to protect aircraft and facilities serving civil aviation.

Passenger Scanning

We operate passenger and luggage scanning services at Mount Pleasant Airport for qualifying flight departures.

Enhanced Walk-Through Metal Detectors

We operate CEIA PMD2 Plus enhanced walk-through multi-zone metal detectors for the detection of metal threat items concealed on the person.

Cabin Baggage Screening

We operate 2 Smiths Detection HI-SCAN 6040-2IS dual view X-ray machines for the screening of cabin baggage and personal items carried by passengers, crew & staff.

Hold Baggage Screening

We operate a Smiths Detection HI-SCAN 100100T-2IS dual view X-ray machine for the screening of hold baggage, mail and cargo.

All X-ray machines operated at Mount Pleasant Airport have an inbuilt training programme for screeners known as TIP (Threat Image Projection) which we use as a tool to access screener compliance.

Additionally all our screeners complete a minimum of 6 hrs of computer-based training & the National X-Ray Competency Test (NXCT) every 6 months along with regular workshops and training days at our office in Stanley or at Mount Pleasant Airport.

EQO People screening technology

We also operate a Smiths Detection EQO Millimetre-wave body scanner for the detection of threat items concealed on the person.

Smith's ION Scan 600 Explosive Trace Detection

We also operate a Smiths Detection IONSCAN 600 explosive trace detection machine to assist in the detection of explosives in cabin baggage or personal items that have been in contact with explosive residue.
